Alterations service are second to none, if they are open service is available, 5 day lead time, actually reasonably priced... hemmed and tapered pants in 4 days over New Years and they look and fit GREAT

I normally dont review stores but have to rave on Nordstrom a bit. I came in for a shoe shine, only to find out only Fashion Valley Nordstrom has it (for only $3 by the way, not counting tip).It's right before my graduation so was a bit disappointing, albeit my fault for procrastinating. I wish I got the name of the fella but he offered to shine them himself for FREE. Did an excellent job at that so high kudos to you good sir and hope you get a solid Christmas bonus and rewarded for going above and beyond.
